International Friendship Club connects new international students with American friends for the purpose of helping them adjust to the U.S. culture while also providing Americans with a broader view of the world. American friends may invite students into their homes, family gatherings, sporting and cultural events occasionally, enjoy mutual birthdays and holidays together, and practice English conversation together. Through on-campus events, students can meet Americans on their own and decide personally whether they’d like to engage in further friendship. Through our kick-off party and holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, to name a few, international students can become acquainted with how we celebrate these and the history behind them.
